Basic Crash Investigations (Formerly: Crash Investigation I)

This two week course is designed to give officers, with little or no formal training in accident investigation, the proper techniques for systematically recognizing and properly recording damage at a motor vehicle collision. Related topics will teach students the techniques for proper gathering of critical evidence that may be used to reconstruct a crash at a later date.  Officers will also learn how to take measurements, sketches, after accident diagrams and properly photograph a crash scene.

There is no fee for this course. This course is limited to 35 students.
